I am Mostafa Alkhlil from Damascus, Syria. I studied Orthotics and Prosthetics at Damascus University, Health Technical Institut and graduated in 2025. I am currently workingas a freelance CPO.

What is your speciality or passion in O&P?

I am particularly interested in integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence into Orthotics and Prosthetics practice, especially in orthotic design and manufacturing, improving patient experience, and rehabilitation processes.

What do you like most about practicing O&P?

What I enjoy most is the ability to improve patients’ mobility, independence, and quality of life through personalized treatment solutions tailored to each case.

What frustrates you about O&P?

One of the main challenges is the limited purchasing power in some communities, which significantly affects the quality of services and treatment outcomes.

What is your greatest patient story in O&P?

One of the most impactful experiences for me was helping a young patient regain mobility and self-confidence after a long period of physical suffering. Seeing the functional and psychological improvement was deeply meaningful to me.

How do you build rapport with patients in your care?

I always focus on listening carefully to patients, understanding their goals and needs, and involving them throughout all stages of treatment and rehabilitation. Trust and communication are essential elements for successful patient care.
