The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched a new volunteer medical mission to support Ukrainian refugees living in Rzeszów, Poland, providing life-changing prosthetic limb services to individuals who lost their limbs during the ongoing conflict.
The mission runs from November 17 to 24, bringing vital rehabilitation support directly to displaced individuals who have limited access to specialized prosthetic care.
Since the launch of the campaign, the KSrelief medical team has already fitted prosthetic limbs for six beneficiaries, restoring critical mobility and helping them begin the long journey toward physical and emotional recovery.
The project includes:
Clinical assessments
Prosthetic fabrication and fitting
Physiotherapy and mobility training
Follow-up care to ensure proper adjustment and comfort
Each device is custom-made, enabling beneficiaries to regain independence, return to daily activities, and improve their overall quality of life.
The prosthetics mission in Poland is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing global humanitarian commitment to support people affected by war, natural disasters, and displacement. Through KSrelief, Saudi Arabia continues to provide medical, surgical, and rehabilitative services to amputees around the world—including in Yemen, Gaza, Syria, Sudan, and now Europe.
KSrelief’s prosthetic limb initiatives are designed to:
Alleviate suffering among vulnerable populations
Ensure access to specialized medical care regardless of location
Strengthen the dignity and mobility of individuals who have experienced traumatic limb loss
Provide hope and stability amid the psychological challenges of displacement
For Ukrainian refugees in Rzeszów, the mission represents far more than medical assistance—it is a message of solidarity and compassion from the international community. Many beneficiaries have faced long periods without access to proper prosthetic services due to the war and displacement. KSrelief’s presence ensures that these individuals receive the support they urgently need to rebuild their lives.
KSrelief’s work in Poland underscores Saudi Arabia's continued commitment to humanitarian leadership and volunteer medical relief missions worldwide. By bringing prosthetic care to refugees who need it most, the Kingdom reinforces its dedication to alleviating human suffering and enabling individuals—regardless of nationality or circumstance—to walk toward a better future.
