Lawall Prosthetics and Orthotics Services, a growing O&P practice, is recruiting a certified orthotist or prosthetist-orthotist practitioner for its Dover, Delaware location. The full-time role covers patient management from evaluation through fabrication, fitting and follow-up.
Role overview
- Evaluate patients, consult with physicians and therapists, and recommend prescriptions
- Design, fit and deliver orthoses and prostheses, with hands-on fabrication where needed
- Direct and train technicians, apprentices and other practitioners
- Build referral relationships with physicians, therapists and other sources
- Keep patient records complete and provide post-delivery adjustments
Requirements
- Degree or certificate in orthotics and/or prosthetics from an accredited college
- CO or CPO credential, ABC- or BOC-certified or eligible, and licensed or eligible for state licensure
- At least three years in the O&P field; CPR certification
