Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics, a provider of prosthetic, orthotic and pedorthic services, is seeking a certified pedorthist for its clinic in Champaign, Illinois. The full-time role covers patient evaluation, therapeutic footwear and foot orthosis fitting, and liaison with referring providers.
Role overview
- Assess patients’ pedorthic needs and set care plans within scope of practice
- Select, fit and modify therapeutic and diabetic footwear, inserts and foot orthoses
- Educate patients and carers on device use and follow-up
- Keep accurate clinical documentation and support reimbursement processes
- Build relationships with physicians, therapists and case managers
Requirements
- Current ABC Certified Pedorthist (CPed) credential
- Active Illinois pedorthist licence, or eligibility to obtain one
- Proven competence in pedorthic evaluation, fitting and follow-up
