Role overview

• Assess clients’ foot conditions, gait and footwear needs.
• Recommend custom or prefabricated foot orthoses, shoe modifications and supportive footwear.
• Take measurements and impressions, carry out fittings and oversee device fabrication or modification.
• Keep records, liaise with healthcare providers and educate clients on foot care.
• Contribute to store operations including inventory and product selection.

Requirements

• Current pedorthist certification (for example ABC C.Ped) and compliance with state regulations.
• Experience in foot evaluation, gait analysis and footwear recommendation.
• Skills in orthotic and shoe modification.
