Hanger, Inc., the largest operator of orthotic and prosthetic patient care clinics in the United States, is recruiting a prosthetist orthotist for its clinic in Kingsport, in north-east Tennessee. The full-time role serves a close-knit local patient community with a mix of prosthetic and orthotic care.
Role overview
- Assess patients with physicians and recommend prosthetic and/or orthotic treatment options.
- Design devices, take casts and measurements, and carry out model modifications.
- Fit devices, including static and dynamic alignment, and adjust for fit, function and comfort.
- Train patients in device use and provide follow-up with patients and referring physicians.
- Maintain referral relationships in the local community.
Requirements
- Certification as a CPO, CO or CP, or board eligibility.
- Clinical and technical skills in evaluating, designing, fabricating and fitting orthoses and/or prostheses.
