OP Specialty Bracing
OP Specialty Bracing, an orthotic and prosthetic bracing provider with a strong paediatric focus, is recruiting a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist for its clinic in Fairfax, Virginia. The full-time role covers assessment, design, fitting and maintenance of orthoses and prostheses in consultation with physicians.
Role overview
- Examine and measure patients and identify factors affecting device fit
- Design orthoses from prescriptions and agree specifications with physicians
- Take and modify casts, choose materials and components, and fabricate or direct fabrication
- Fit, test and adjust devices and instruct patients in their use and care
- Repair and modify appliances and maintain patient records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO)
- Completion of an NCOPE-accredited residency
- At least two years of related experience or training
