OP Specialty Bracing, a growing orthotic and prosthetic provider with a strong paediatric focus, is hiring a full-time certified prosthetist orthotist for its clinic in Gainesville, Florida. The clinician treats patients with limb and spinal conditions, working to physician prescriptions.
Role overview
- Examine and measure patients to determine device needs
- Design orthoses and prostheses with physicians, selecting materials and components
- Take and modify plaster casts and fabricate, or direct fabrication of, devices
- Fit, test and adjust devices and teach patients how to use and care for them
- Repair and modify appliances and keep patient records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO)
- Completed NCOPE-accredited residency
- At least two years of related experience or equivalent
