Spears Prosthetics and Orthotics, a small private O&P practice in Memphis, Tennessee, is hiring a certified prosthetist orthotist or orthotist. The full-time, on-site role runs Monday to Friday during the day plus one weekend a month, and includes in-house prosthetic fabrication.

Role overview

• Evaluate patients’ prosthetic and orthotic needs and plan treatment from the physician’s prescription.
• Carry out fittings, adjustments, modifications and follow-up care.
• Fabricate, modify and finish prostheses independently in-house.
• Work with physicians and therapists, and educate patients and carers on device use and care.
• Keep accurate, timely clinical records.

Requirements

• ABC certification as a prosthetist/orthotist and eligibility for Tennessee licensure.
• At least two years’ experience.
• Must live in or near Memphis.
