Role overview
- Work with physicians to evaluate patients’ need for pedorthic services and suggest treatment options
- Assess patients’ needs in relation to their condition and functional loss
- Design pedorthic devices, choose materials and take casts and measurements
- Carry out model modification and layouts, then fabricate and fit footwear and orthoses
- Collaborate with the wider rehabilitation team
