Storch und Beller & Co. GmbH, a German medical and orthopaedic technology company, is recruiting an orthopaedic technician specialising in spinal orthoses for its site in the Freiburg health centre. The role focuses on bespoke scoliosis and kyphosis bracing for children and adolescents, and is offered on a full-time or part-time basis.

Role overview

• Plan, fabricate and fit custom spinal orthoses and corsets for young patients with scoliosis and kyphosis.
• Assess posture, spinal shape and correction potential.
• Capture patient geometry with 3D scanning and design braces using CAD/CAM.
• Carry out fittings and refine braces, supporting patients throughout treatment.
• Work with doctors, physiotherapists and clinics, and document fittings and quality checks.

Requirements

• Completed training as an Orthopädietechnik-Mechaniker, or master craftsman (Meister) qualification.
• Good understanding of anatomy and biomechanics, and strong manual skills.
• Interest in digital workflows and CAD/CAM; spinal bracing experience is helpful but not essential.
• Empathy in working with children, adolescents and families.
