Role overview
- Advise, fit and support patients with orthotic devices
- Take histories and assess needs independently
- Measure, fit and fabricate custom orthoses, especially for the lower limb
- Carry out trial fittings and fit and function checks
- Provide technical field service to hospitals, practices and partners, and document all fittings
Requirements
- Completed training as an orthopaedic technician, ideally focused on orthotics (master craftsman qualification welcome but not required)
- Empathetic, service-oriented manner with patients
- Confident IT skills and openness to digital workflows
