UKM ProTec, the orthopaedic technology subsidiary of the University Hospital Münster (Universitätsklinikum Münster), is recruiting an orthopaedic technician for fabrication and patient consultation, focused on spinal orthoses. The post is permanent, full or part time (up to 38.5 hours per week), covering patients in Münster and Bochum.

Role overview

• Treat outpatients and inpatients with custom orthoses for spinal deformities.
• Fabricate orthoses independently.
• Advise patients and families and coordinate treatment with doctors and therapists.
• Look after patients at University Hospital Münster and St. Josef-Hospital Bochum.

Requirements

• Training as an Orthopädietechnik-Mechaniker.
• Specialisation in spinal orthotics, or willingness to train in this area.
• Class B driving licence and willingness to work in Münster and Bochum.
• Careful measurement and data capture, and an interest in technology.
