Role overview
- Support orthotic practitioners in evaluating patients’ orthotic needs against physician prescriptions.
- Carry out fittings and minor modifications under supervision, and help check fit and function.
- Instruct patients in device use and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Deliver equipment, monitor patients over time and follow up with patients and physicians.
- Keep clinical notes and take part in out-of-hours on-call cover.
