Opcare (AM Healthcare Group)
Opcare, part of AM Healthcare Group, is recruiting an experienced orthotist for a new contract covering three NHS trusts: Northern Lincolnshire and Goole, York and Scarborough, and Hull University Teaching Hospitals. The role is based mainly in new orthotic clinics in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole and their satellites, with some travel required.
Role overview
- Assess, prescribe and fit orthotic devices autonomously for routine and moderately complex patients.
- Apply clinical reasoning to device design, fitting and adjustment.
- Contribute to audits, service evaluation, research and quality improvement.
- Manage clinical resources cost-effectively and keep accurate records.
- Support and mentor graduate and undergraduate colleagues.
Requirements
- BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics or equivalent, with HCPC registration.
- Experience in a fast-paced clinical setting and MDT working.
- Desirable: CAD/CAM or digital workflow experience, a graduate scheme, a driving licence and BAPO/ISPO membership.
