AM Healthcare Group, through its NHS orthotic service provider Opcare, is recruiting an experienced Orthotist for a new contract covering three NHS trusts: Northern Lincolnshire and Goole, York and Scarborough, and Hull University Teaching Hospitals. The role is based mainly in new orthotic clinics in York and Hull and their satellites.
Role overview
- Assess, prescribe and fit orthotic and/or prosthetic devices across a range of clinical settings.
- Manage routine and moderately complex cases autonomously within scope of practice.
- Contribute to audits, service evaluation, research and quality improvement.
- Support and supervise graduate and undergraduate colleagues.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and manage resources cost-effectively.
Requirements
- BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics or equivalent.
- HCPC registration.
- Experience in a busy clinical and multidisciplinary environment.
- Desirable: CAD/CAM experience, driving licence, BAPO and ISPO membership.
