Steplab HealthCare (Step Lab Prosthetics and Orthotics Center), a specialist prosthetic and orthotic provider in Kozhikode, Kerala, is hiring an Orthotist. The full-time, on-site, entry-level role involves assessing patients and designing, fitting and adjusting custom orthoses such as AFOs, spinal braces and insoles.
Role overview
- Evaluate patients, carry out gait analysis and take measurements and impressions.
- Select materials and components and design, fit and adjust custom orthoses.
- Work with prosthetists, physicians and physiotherapists on integrated treatment plans.
- Educate patients and carers on device use and care, and keep accurate clinical records.
- Take part in case discussions, community outreach and professional development.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics (or equivalent), with registration where required.
- Orthotic clinical skills including design, fabrication, fitting and gait analysis.
- Patient-facing experience, good communication and multidisciplinary teamwork.
