Ottobock Care, one of Sweden’s largest orthopaedic technology providers with clinics in some 20 locations, is recruiting an orthopaedic technician for the Kalmar region as it takes over services in Kalmar, Västervik and Oskarshamn. The post is permanent and full-time, based in Kalmar.
Role overview
- Produce the full range of orthopaedic devices, including prostheses, orthoses, seating aids and orthopaedic footwear and insoles.
- Work with colleagues to improve patients’ mobility and independence.
- Help develop the new regional service alongside the local team.
- Occasional work-related travel may be required.
Requirements
- Practical experience fabricating custom orthopaedic devices, or experience with prepreg, lamination and thermoplastics in another industry.
- Fluent Swedish and good computer skills.
- Well organised, proactive and able to work independently.
