Southern Orthocare, Inc., a multi-clinic prosthetic and orthotic company in Tennessee, is seeking a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician for its East Tennessee clinics, based in Knoxville. The full-time, lab-based role supports practitioners in fabricating custom prosthetic, orthotic and pedorthic devices.
Role overview
- Fabricate, modify, finish and repair patient-specific devices using traditional and modern methods.
- Pour, remove and modify plaster moulds and carry out vacuum forming.
- Learn the properties and processing temperatures of plastics and other materials.
- Complete work orders accurately and on deadline, keeping the lab clean and organised.
- Report to the Lab Manager, with structured training provided.
Requirements
- Experience in an O&P lab, ideally across prosthetics, orthotics and pedorthics, preferred.
- Team-oriented attitude and attention to quality.
