Shriners Children’s, a paediatric specialty healthcare system with more than 20 hospitals and clinics that treats children regardless of ability to pay, is seeking an ABC-certified Prosthetist and Orthotist for its Salt Lake City, Utah location. The full-time, on-site hospital role combines direct patient care with oversight of device fabrication.

Role overview

• Provide orthotic and prosthetic care to children, from measurement and fabrication to fitting and follow-up.
• Advise physicians on prescription criteria, attend clinics and run in-service sessions for staff.
• Fabricate devices and direct and train technicians, keeping delivery timelines realistic.
• Develop care plans based on patients’ physical, developmental and psychosocial needs.
• Document care in line with federal, state and professional requirements.

Requirements

• ABC certification in orthotics and prosthetics.
• Relevant O&P education and clinical experience (see full advertisement).
