The Royal Melbourne Hospital, one of Australia’s leading public health services, is recruiting a Grade 2 Prosthetist/Orthotist for its Prosthetics & Orthotics Department. The full-time, fixed-term parental leave cover runs from 4 January 2027 to 21 January 2028 across the Royal Park Campus and Western Hospital.
Role overview
- Assess clients and prescribe orthotic devices, coordinating their fabrication and supply
- Deliver specialist orthotic services in the outpatient Community Therapy Service
- Provide prosthetic and orthotic care across other clinical streams for people with complex musculoskeletal and neurological conditions
- Take part in case conferences and multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes
- Support junior staff and contribute to quality improvement
