Agreement to Provide Prosthetics, Eye Devices for Gaza Victims Signed in Jordan

A cooperation agreement was signed on Saturday between the Al-Imdaad Foundation- South Africa office, the Ibn Sina For Medical Equipment and Services Center, and the Jordan River Foundation for Eye Technology to implement an ambitious project to manufacture and fit prosthetic limbs and eyes for victims from the Gaza Strip residing in Gaza, Jordan, and Egypt.

According to a statement from the signatories, coordination will be made with relevant official authorities to deliver the prosthetic devices inside the Gaza Strip.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Al-Imdaad Foundation headquarters by Zakaria Mohammed Al-Sheikh, regional director of the Jordan office; by Bashar Tarawneh for Ibn Sina Center as executive director; and by Yahya Khreisat for the Jordan River Foundation.

The project aims to alleviate the suffering of Gaza victims who have lost limbs, eyes, and organs more than 9,000 people by providing prosthetics and artificial eyes meeting international standards. These beneficiaries are part of 42,000 Gazans in need of rehabilitation.

Since its establishment in 2005, the Al-Imdaad Foundation has carried out major humanitarian and strategic development projects in 72 countries, including Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, and Lebanon, focusing on empowering and assisting underprivileged families in the Arab region.
