Across the GCC nations, the wider Middle East, Iran and the broader IMEA region, CPOs are on the front lines of delivering these life-changing services, often in challenging and dynamic environments where healthcare systems and rehabilitation services are under strain.
To every clinician, technician, educator, researcher and support professional within our community: we honour your courage, commitment and expertise. Your work touches the lives of countless patients and families who depend on your skill and empathy. We also recognise the personal sacrifices many of you and your loved ones make — navigating risks, uncertainty and stress while continuing to provide excellence in care.
The opportunity before us — to elevate rehabilitation, expand access to prosthetic and orthotic solutions, and strengthen community support networks — is significant. It carries real potential to transform lives, advance clinical capacity and foster innovation throughout the IMEA region. Yet we acknowledge that the path forward sometimes involves risks, and that many of our colleagues are facing complex realities both professionally and personally.
On behalf of IMEA CPO, we extend our deepest wishes for safety, health and peace to all CPOs, their families and the broader rehabilitation community, especially across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Middle East. Our thoughts are with you — across urban centres and remote clinics, in hospitals and rehab centres, at workshops and in academic corridors.
