Bio_Sole Acquires Atlantic Footcare to Scale AI-Powered Wearables

Acquisition establishes U.S. manufacturing base to scale AI-powered biometric wearables across healthcare, enterprise safety, and identity sectors.

NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI / Bio_Sole International Group Ltd., the U.S. subsidiary of Canadian biometric pioneer autonomous_ID Corporation, today announced the acquisition of Atlantic Footcare, a Rhode Island-based insole manufacturer bringing over 50 years of experience supplying leading U.S. footwear brands.

The acquisition provides Bio_Sole with a high-capacity, U.S.-based manufacturing platform to support the commercial rollout of its patented smart insole-a wearable that combines biometric identity, real-time health monitoring, and edge-based AI. Designed for deployment across healthcare, enterprise, elder care, sports health, and digital identity infrastructure, the Bio_Sole platform converts movement and weight data into predictive, privacy-focused health and behavioral insights.

"This is more than a supply chain move, it's the cornerstone of Bio_Sole's scale strategy and category leadership in intelligent wearables," said Todd Gray, founder of autonomous_ID and CEO of Bio_Sole International. "With Atlantic Footcare's production capabilities and long-standing customer relationships, we now have the infrastructure needed to bring Bio_Sole's wearable technology to market."

Unlike wrist-based wearables that focus on step counts and heart rate, Bio_Sole's underfoot platform captures a unique combination of gait, posture, and load-bearing metrics-producing a biometric profile that supports both continuous health monitoring and identity verification. The system runs on a modular, edge AI architecture and is backed by an extensive patent portfolio, positioning Bio_Sole for high-value use across both regulated and commercial markets.

Bio_Sole is engineered for use in:
Healthcare: Remote monitoring, chronic disease management, early detection
Enterprise Safety: Ergonomic risk detection, compliance analytics
Elder Care: Fall prevention, mobility tracking, cognitive insights
Identity Autonomy: Passive, privacy-first biometric authentication

"This acquisition honors our legacy while positioning us at the forefront of innovation," said Keith Lonergan, CEO of Atlantic Footcare. "We will continue to serve our long-standing clients while preparing one of our production lines for Bio_Sole sensor and electronics integration. With capacity to produce over one million units per month, we're proud that Rhode Island will play a central role in the future of wearable health technology."

Production integration will begin over the next 90 to 120 days, starting with pilot builds and scaling to full commercial output in alignment with Bio_Sole's phased launch plan.

As wearable technology shifts from passive tracking to intelligent autonomy, Bio_Sole stands out-purpose-built for scale, anchored in privacy, and designed to meet growing demand for actionable, secure health data across sectors. With Atlantic Footcare's manufacturing strength now aligned, Bio_Sole is positioned to lead the next era of connected living.
