IfeanHealth Launches Scholarship for Future Prosthetics and Orthotics Leaders

As part of its commitment to enhance learning, innovation, and clinical excellence in rehabilitative healthcare, a United States-based health technology company, IfeanHealth, has announced plans to support more than 10 outstanding students currently pursuing prosthetics and orthotics degrees at select institutions in Nigeria

The firm, a leading provider of prosthetics and orthotics in Nigeria and the West African region, said that by investing in the training and development of future professionals, it will bridge critical gaps in rehabilitative care and ensure greater access to high-quality prosthetics and orthotics services across the country and beyond.

The Founder and Managing Director of IfeanHealth, Ejike Anih, said the scholarship programme is an investment in the future of prosthetic care in Africa.

He said: “By equipping future leaders with knowledge and next-generation expertise, we are planting the seeds for innovation, access, and dignity in rehabilitation.”

Anih noted that as a pioneer in prosthetic and orthotic solutions, the firm remains committed to innovation, access, and impact.

“Through this scholarship programme, the company will deepen its mission to transform lives, not only through patient care, but by grooming professionals who will shape the future of the field,” he said.

The Director of Operations and Team Lead, IfeanHealth Scholarship and Scholar Programme, Mrs Eva James, said in the face of the many challenges students face in Nigerian universities, the scheme will provide more than just financial aid by offering freedom, focus, and the opportunity to truly excel.

Under the initiative, each of the beneficiaries will receive N100,000 to support tuition, living expenses, and other academic costs, which will enable them focus on their studies and professional development.

“After completing the scholarship year, successful candidates would have the opportunity to apply for the highly selective Scholar Programme,” James stated.

Besides, she disclosed that selected scholars will benefit from internship opportunities to gain hands-on experience, opportunities for full-time employment and international exposure, and support to pursue specialised training and certifications.

She said the scholarship programme is open to students in the following institutions: Federal College of Orthopaedic Technology (FECOT), Igbobi, Lagos State; Federal University of Allied Health Sciences (FUAHSE), Enugu; Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO); School of Prosthetics and Orthotics Technology, Kano, and University Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo.

While urging interested candidates to check for eligibility criteria and guidelines on the firm’s official website and social media channels, James noted that the application will close on May 31.
