India's First Assistive Tech Startup Fund Launched by ATF

AssisTech Foundation (ATF) has launched the country’s first exclusive Assistive Tech (AT) Startup India Seed Fund under the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) through the support of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Government of India. With a dedicated capital pool of ₹5 Crore, ATF is positioned to empower and accelerate the growth of early-stage AT startups across India over the course of the next three years. Selected startups focusing on inclusive technologies for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) will be eligible to receive financial assistance in the form of grants of up to INR 20 lakhs. In addition, the fund also offers investment opportunities of up to INR 50 lakhs through mechanisms such as convertible debentures, debt, or debt-linked instruments, providing entrepreneurs with the flexibility and resources to innovate and scale their solutions.

If you are an emerging startup committed to driving impact in the assistive technology space, you are encouraged to apply, provided you meet the following criteria: recognition by DPIIT, incorporation within the past two years, having received no more than ₹10 lakh in support from other Central or State schemes, and maintaining at least 51% Indian promoter shareholding. This initiative not only supports founders but also aims to foster a thriving ecosystem of accessible and assistive technology that benefits millions of PwDs throughout the country.

For those who may not be directly eligible but know entrepreneurs or teams working on breakthrough inclusive solutions, please share this opportunity within your network. By spreading the word, you can help ensure that transformative innovations reach those who need them most and drive meaningful social change.
