The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) concluded two significant voluntary medical initiatives in Damascus, Syria, held from 15 to 22 August 2025. These projects primarily addressed critical healthcare needs by focusing on pediatric cardiac catheterization procedures as well as providing prosthetics and comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Conducted under the Saudi “Amal” volunteer program, which is dedicated to supporting the Syrian people, the missions brought together 11 skilled medical volunteers representing a variety of specialties. Throughout the duration of the projects, KSrelief’s dedicated team successfully completed 68 complex operations, fitted 75 individuals with prosthetic limbs, and conducted 91 physiotherapy sessions to aid in the recovery and mobility of beneficiaries. Additionally, 50 wheelchairs were distributed to people with disabilities, significantly improving their daily lives and independence.
These efforts reflect Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to the Syrian population through KSrelief’s extensive voluntary medical initiatives. By delivering essential medical interventions and support, KSrelief continues to focus on aiding vulnerable and affected communities, working to alleviate the hardships faced by Syrian individuals and families during these challenging times.
