Mega Limb Fitment Camp by NSS Transforms Lives of 223 Differently-Abled

Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS) organized a Mega Limb Fitment Camp in Meerut, where 273 prosthetic limbs were provided free of cost to 223 differently-abled individuals. Notably, around 20 percent of these beneficiaries received multiple limbs, significantly enhancing their comfort and range of mobility. This initiative was the result of a carefully coordinated effort, beginning with a limb measurement camp held in June that drew participation from over 400 differently-abled people across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Rajasthan. Following detailed evaluations, 223 individuals were selected and their measurements recorded for custom prosthetic limb fabrication.

The prosthetic limbs were manufactured at NSS’s state-of-the-art fabrication unit in Udaipur, leveraging advanced German technology to ensure precision, durability, and comfort. Prashant Agarwal, President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, emphasized the organization’s mission: “Our endeavor is to free differently abled individuals, regardless of their location in the country or world, from despair and suffering and provide them with a life of confidence and dignity.” NSS’s efforts have positively impacted more than 40,000 differently-abled individuals to date. Looking ahead, the organization plans to extend similar camps to additional regions, including Ahmedabad, Pune, and Lucknow, to broaden access to essential rehabilitation services.

NSS’s prosthetics are renowned for their lightweight designs, robust materials, and precise fit—qualities tailored to support diverse patient needs. Importantly, NSS offers lifelong free repair and maintenance, ensuring recipients enjoy sustained benefits and peace of mind.

In its holistic approach to empowerment, NSS also hosted its 44th Mass Wedding ceremony in Udaipur, uniting 51 differently-abled and underprivileged couples. The organization continues to respond to emergent needs, recently conducting a relief campaign for families affected by floods in Punjab and holding a free limb fitment camp in Indore that benefited 240 individuals. NSS’s ongoing initiatives reflect a comprehensive commitment to rehabilitation, inclusion, and social upliftment for communities across India.
