Nasir Ahmad Appointed President of NAPO Pakistan

The National Association of Prosthetists & Orthotists-Pakistan (NAPO Pakistan) has announced Mr. Nasir Ahmad as its new President, marking an important leadership moment for the country’s orthotic and prosthetic profession.

The appointment is a notable development for Pakistan’s O&P community, as professional associations continue to play a critical role in strengthening clinical standards, supporting practitioner development, and advancing the visibility of prosthetic and orthotic services within wider rehabilitation systems.

Mr. Nasir Ahmad currently serves as Incharge of the Orthotic Department at RMI and as Manager at Orthodynamic Rehab Center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. His appointment brings to the presidency experience from both clinical service delivery and rehabilitation management, positioning him to help guide NAPO Pakistan through its next phase of development.

NAPO Pakistan extended its congratulations to Mr. Ahmad and expressed confidence in his leadership as the organisation works toward continued growth and excellence. His appointment is likely to be welcomed by colleagues across the profession, particularly at a time when the need for stronger rehabilitation services, workforce development, and professional representation remains high in Pakistan.

For the O&P sector, leadership within national associations matters. Organisations such as NAPO Pakistan can help shape professional identity, encourage collaboration, support education and advocacy, and provide a stronger collective voice for prosthetists and orthotists working across hospitals, rehabilitation centres, academic institutions, and independent practices.

Mr. Ahmad’s appointment also highlights the growing importance of experienced rehabilitation leaders from across Pakistan’s provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in shaping the future direction of the profession at national level.

As NAPO Pakistan begins this new chapter under his leadership, many in the field will be watching with interest to see how the association continues to strengthen professional engagement, elevate standards, and support the development of prosthetic and orthotic services across the country.

IMEA CPO extends its congratulations to Mr. Nasir Ahmad on his appointment as President of NAPO Pakistan and wishes him every success in leading the association forward.
