CPO of the Week: Romisaa Mansour Ahmed from New Cairo in Egypt

10/08/2026

I graduated from Cairo Technological University in 2026 and I am currently seeking a full-time Prosthetist & Orthotist position. I have completed clinical training at Otto Hope Company, Otto Bock, the Military Orthopedic & Prosthetic Center, and the Health Insurance Authority.

What is your O&P passion?

My passion is helping patients regain mobility and independence through well-designed prosthetic and orthotic solutions.

What do you like most about practicing O&P?

Seeing the positive impact that proper rehabilitation can have on a patient’s confidence and quality of life.

What frustrates you about O&P?

Limited access to advanced prosthetic technologies for some patients due to financial or resource constraints.

What is your greatest patient story in O&P?

During my clinical training, I had the opportunity to follow up with patients after prosthetic fitting. Seeing their progress in walking and gaining confidence reinforced my passion for this profession.

How do you build rapport with patients in your care?

I listen carefully to their concerns, communicate clearly, and treat every patient with empathy, patience, and respect.
