I currently live and work in Al Ain, UAE and I studied Prosthetics and Orthotics at Isra University, Islamabad, Pakistan where i graduated in 2025.
Currently, I work as a P&O Technician at Noubel Rehabilitation Center in Al Ain, UAE.
What do you claim is your speciality — your O&P passion?
My main interest is orthotic fabrication, especially TLSO, KAFOs and other lower-limb orthoses (AFO’s,FO’s and Customized Insoles). I enjoy the fabrication process, cutting process and finishing process and making sure the device fits the patient properly and comfortably.
What do you like most about practicing O&P?
What I like most is helping patients improve their mobility and independence. It is very satisfying to see a patient become more confident and comfortable after receiving the right orthosis or prosthetic device.
What frustrates you about O&P?
Sometimes, it can be challenging when a patient needs several adjustments before getting the right fit. However, I see these challenges as opportunities to improve my skills and provide better patient care.
What is your greatest patient story in O&P?
One of my most memorable experiences was helping a patient who had difficulty walking because of a lower-limb problem. After proper assessment, fabrication, and adjustments, the patient was able to walk more comfortably. Seeing the patient’s improvement and confidence made me feel proud of my work.
How do you build rapport with patients in your care?
I build rapport by listening carefully to my patients, understanding their concerns, and explaining the treatment and device in simple language. I try to be respectful, patient, and friendly so they feel comfortable sharing their problems with me.
