My name is Jubilee Oghenegweke Eriawene. I live in Enugu, Nigeria. I studied Prosthetics and Orthotics at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and graduated in 2024. I also hold a National Diploma in Orthopaedic Cast Technology from the School of Orthopaedic Cast Technology in Enugu.
Currently, I work with Orthofit Orthopaedic, where I serve as a Prosthetist/Orthotist and Orthopaedic Technician.
What do you claim is your speciality - your O&P passion?
My passion is in restoring mobility and improving independence for patients. I especially enjoy lower-limb prosthetics and orthotic rehabilitation because of the direct and life-changing impact it has on patients — seeing them walk again, return to work, and regain confidence is incredibly fulfilling
What do you like most about practicing O&P?
I enjoy seeing immediate impact — that moment when a patient stands or walks again is always inspiring.
What frustrates you about O&P?
Limited access to advanced devices and materials can slow down care, but it motivates me to keep finding creative solutions.
What is your greatest patient story in O&P?
A patient once returned to work after months of immobility thanks to a device I fitted. Seeing him regain his livelihood was unforgettable.
How do you build rapport with patients in your care?
I listen first, explain simply, and celebrate small milestones with patients — this builds trust and keeps them motivated.
