What do you claim is your speciality - your O&P passion?

My specialty is manufacturing prosthetic limbs and orthotic device and I have a passion for this field where I have always strived to learn about acquiring the latest technologies and offer them to our patients.

What do you like most about practicing O&P?

I admire this profession because it is a humanitarian service in addition to requiring high level of engineering and clinical skill.

What frustrates you about O&P?

What bothers most is when I don't achieve the desired result that the patient wants.

What is your greatest patient story in O&P?

During the years of war in Syria, I dealt with many patients notably a case of amputation of four limbs, and a one -year-old child whose limbs were amputated above knee.

How do you build rapport with patients in your care?

I builtd my relationship with patients through complete hosesty regarding the device I would provide, the desired outcome and helping them adapt. I always explain the nature of their condition and work to prepare them psychologically, aiming to create a friendship that would last for years.
