Empowering Lives: Our Journey to Provide 555 Prosthetics in Kenya

Last year, MrBeast and Beast Philanthropy gave away 2,000 prosthetics to people around the world—and Ugani Foundation was proud to have played a part in that mission. In Kenya, Ugani partnered with Prothea Kenya to provide 555 prosthetics to people in need. Alongside this incredible project, Prothea documented the entire journey—highlighting the challenges, the impact, and the inspiring stories of those we helped.

The initiative in Kenya was more than just a donation event; it was a coordinated effort involving local medical professionals, technicians, and volunteers. Each recipient underwent a personalized assessment to ensure the prosthetic devices were tailored to their specific needs, offering them renewed mobility and independence. Through workshops and fitting sessions, our team provided hands-on instruction for proper use and maintenance, empowering individuals to adapt to their new prosthetics confidently.

We made it a priority to amplify the voices of those directly impacted. The documentary captured firsthand accounts from beneficiaries, demonstrating how access to prosthetic care not only restored the ability to walk, work, and go to school, but also transformed lives by restoring hope, dignity, and participation in their communities.

Our mission is simple: to make high-quality, affordable prosthetics accessible to those who need them most. We believe no one should be excluded from opportunity due to limb loss. This is just the beginning. We have so much more in the works. Future projects include expanding our reach to additional countries, fostering new partnerships with local organizations, and investing in innovative prosthetic technologies to better serve diverse needs on a global scale.
