Eqwal is pleased to announce the integration of Schindler Orthopädie, a German company based in Siegen, which is led by Heinz-Joachim Schindler.
Founded by Heinz-Joachim and Barbara Schindler in 1999, Schindler Orthopädie is recognized for its expertise in the design and manufacture of prosthetics, orthotics, compression garments, and breast prostheses.
With around 50 highly qualified professionals, Schindler Orthopädie supports patients throughout their entire care journey from the first hospital consultation before amputation to rehabilitation and gait or running training with an on-site physiotherapist.
Its activity is structured around four complementary areas of excellence:
• Prosthetics: mainly lower-limb and upper-limb prostheses;
• Orthotics: leg, arm, back, and scoliosis orthoses;
• Orthopaedic footwear
• Medical supply and compression: compression garments (for lymphological, lipoedema, phlebological, post-traumatic, or post-burn treatments), custom-made bandages, breast prostheses, and standard aids.
Guided by a vision based on excellence, reliability, and fairness, Schindler Orthopädie is committed to providing its employees with a high-quality working environment and its patients with the most advanced technologies. Eqwal fully shares these humanistic values founded on trust, kindness, and tolerance.
This acquisition represents a strategic milestone for Eqwal. By relying on an ever-stronger, people-focused, and committed network, the Group strengthens its European presence and establishes itself in Germany, continuing its mission to provide patients worldwide with excellence in care solutions.
“We are delighted to welcome Schindler Orthopädie to Eqwal. Through this acquisition, we are strengthening our presence in Europe, and in Germany in particular.
This is how we fulfill Eqwal’s promise: to provide our patients with the highest possible quality of care.” Jean-Pierre Mahé, CEO of Eqwal
This new scope, including Schindler Orthopädie, will be overseen by Christian Walgenbach, who will support Eqwal’s development in Germany and ensure the operational and strategic continuity of this new region.
Eqwal warmly welcomes all Schindler Orthopädie teams. Together, we will continue pursuing a shared goal: to sustainably improve patients’ mobility and quality of life.
