Jordan Dispatches Major Aid Convoy to Gaza, Focuses on Prosthetics

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization announced on Tuesday the dispatch of a new aid convoy consisting of 65 trucks to the Gaza Strip, underscoring the country’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian assistance in the region. According to the organization, speaking to "Al-Mamlaka," this particular convoy is notable for its inclusion of prosthetic limbs—essential medical devices to support individuals who have lost limbs as a result of injuries from the ongoing conflict and deteriorating humanitarian conditions.

This recent effort is part of Jordan's larger, sustained mission—supported by both its leadership and citizens—to stand firmly with the Palestinian people by providing critical support, especially as Gaza faces acute shortages of vital supplies due to the prolonged blockade. The current situation has created dire circumstances for residents, leaving many without access to food, medicine, fuel, and specialized healthcare technologies crucial for rehabilitation and physical mobility.

Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, highlighted that Jordan’s humanitarian response is multifaceted. In addition to these overland convoys, coordinated airdrops of aid continue to ensure rapid, flexible delivery when land routes are obstructed or insufficient. This comprehensive relief strategy is aimed at reaching as many people as possible with life-saving assistance.

Over the past two weeks, Jordan has intensified its efforts, dispatching 282 aid trucks to the Gaza Strip, with 220 successfully entering the territory despite formidable logistical obstacles. These ongoing initiatives reaffirm Jordan’s leading role in the region as a steadfast ally of the Palestinian people and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to alleviating suffering and fostering resilience in the face of adversity.
