Ludada and Associates Orthopaedic Services (LAOS) has been selected to participate in the African Impact Challenge Bootcamp 2026, a prestigious programme designed to support high-impact founders addressing critical challenges across the continent.
This recognition places LAOS within a dynamic network of more than 7,000 innovators spanning 46 African countries, all working to drive industry transformation, strengthen local ecosystems, and build globally competitive ventures.
For LAOS, participation in the bootcamp represents more than a milestone—it is a strategic opportunity to accelerate its mission and expand its impact within the orthotics and prosthetics sector.
As the organisation continues to develop its Assistive Device Upgrade (ADU) model, the programme is expected to support several key priorities:
- Reducing the quality gap between public and private assistive care systems
- Improving affordability and access to advanced mobility solutions
- Scaling sustainable innovation in prosthetics and orthotics
- Strengthening partnerships that deliver measurable impact for people living with disabilities
LAOS remains focused on a core principle: access to high-quality mobility solutions should not be determined by geography or income level, but recognised as a fundamental right.
Through engagement with fellow innovators across Africa, LAOS aims to further refine its model, expand its reach, and contribute to a more inclusive and accessible rehabilitation landscape across the region.
