Global Survey Seeks Input to Guide Future Prosthetics and Orthotics Research

ISPO’s Scientific Committee invites all professionals engaged in prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation, and related medtech sectors to participate in a global survey designed to identify and prioritize the most pressing research areas affecting our field. Whether you are a clinician, researcher, educator, technician, manufacturer, or policy advocate, your perspective is critical to shaping an inclusive and forward-looking global research agenda.

This initiative seeks to capture insights and priorities from a broad cross-section of practitioners and stakeholders, ensuring the research roadmap is grounded in the realities of clinical practice, innovation, and the everyday challenges faced by those delivering and receiving prosthetic and orthotic care across diverse healthcare environments. The outcomes from this survey will help direct funding, inform policy, and guide international collaborations that accelerate impactful advancements and address unmet needs.

Taking less than 10 minutes to complete, the survey is accessible in eight major languages—Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish—making it easy for professionals worldwide to contribute. By sharing your expertise and experience, you play a direct role in steering research toward solutions that enhance patient outcomes, foster accessibility, and drive the evolution of our field.

Your input will help ensure that future research and development efforts meaningfully reflect current clinical challenges, technological opportunities, and the evolving needs of practitioners and patients alike. ISPO encourages every voice to be heard—add yours today and help advance global excellence in prosthetic and orthotic practice.
