I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2025 from the Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences (PIPOS), Pakistan.
I am currently working at Prime Prosthetics, Orthotics and Rehabilitation Center in Swabi, Pakistan, where I assess patients, fabricate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, and provide rehabilitation services.
What do you claim is your speciality – your O&P passion?
My passion is lower-limb prosthetics, pediatric orthotics, and helping patients regain mobility and independence through personalized prosthetic and orthotic solutions.
What do you like most about practicing O&P?
The most rewarding part of practicing O&P is seeing patients take their first confident steps again and witnessing the positive impact that mobility has on their quality of life.
What frustrates you about O&P?
One of the biggest challenges is that many patients have limited access to advanced components because of financial constraints. I believe everyone deserves quality prosthetic and orthotic care regardless of their circumstances.
What is your greatest patient story in O&P?
One of my most memorable cases was helping a young transtibial amputee regain the ability to walk and run with confidence after receiving a prosthesis. Seeing the joy and confidence return to both the patient and the family reminded me why I chose this profession.
How do you build rapport with patients in your care?
I build rapport by listening carefully to my patients, understanding their goals and concerns, involving them in every step of the treatment process, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Trust and communication are the foundation of successful rehabilitation.
