The Al-Tawf Center for Prosthetics and Orthodontic Devices welcomed a delegation of charitable and rehabilitation leaders to learn about the centre’s services and its work providing prosthetic care and rehabilitation for beneficiaries.
The delegation included His Excellency Mr Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Kawari, Executive President of Qatar Charity; Dr Hussein Al-Shibli, General Secretary of the Hashemite Jordanian Charitable Organization; Mr Darrar Al-Maaytah, Director of the Qatar Charitable Office in Jordan; and Mr Bilal Al-Abasi, General Manager of Restoring Hope Association. Members of Restoring Hope Association also took part in the visit.
During their visit, guests were introduced to the services available at Al-Tawf Center and the stages involved in manufacturing prostheses. They also learned about the work of the centre’s team in supporting beneficiaries through prosthetic services and rehabilitation.
The visit underscored the partnership between Al-Tawf Center and Restoring Hope Association. Together, the organisations are working to provide prosthetic services and rehabilitation for people in Gaza, with the aim of supporting mobility, independence and quality of life.
Prosthetic care involves more than the provision of a device. Access to appropriate services and rehabilitation can be an important part of helping beneficiaries use their prostheses and work towards greater independence. The centre’s overview of its manufacturing process gave the delegation an opportunity to understand how this work is carried out and how the team supports beneficiaries.
Al-Tawf Center expressed its appreciation to Restoring Hope Association for its trust and partnership, and thanked the visiting guests for their interest in the joint effort. The organisations’ collaboration brings charitable support together with prosthetic services and rehabilitation for people who need them.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the delegation to recognise the centre team’s contribution and learn more about the work taking place at Al-Tawf Center. The partnership’s shared focus remains on serving beneficiaries in Gaza and helping them access support that can contribute to mobility and independence.
